i came through daisy's (the beginner's skiing trail) but i was OWNED by hogsback! That intermediate trail was simply too much.
hurt. experienced a dangerous amount of fear, but i am going to conquer it one day.
one day. who knows when the day will come! ahahha! (:
but i seek consolation in myself. at least i experienced coming down on a sleigh with the pro medic skier(: a chance that not everyone gets! awwwhhh, and they were really nice, great service, a few days later, i received a personal letter from the ski director sending his regards about my injury. *sweeet!

choot choot choott,
and there our 15-seater van goes~
surprising how a van could actually fit 15 people? Don't be, cause it really did(:

the NTU peeps came to pick me, grace and sharon up outside hansee, at the mccarthy carpark at 10am sharp. Goodness, they are really punctual! (: went to the backseat where gregory and wanghao was. After that we went to pick Anthea up at her dorm near the international district. I didn't had much of a chance to speak to Anthea during the Singaporean get together @ darius's place, but since she was sitting next to me on the roadtrip, I got to know her better. And she's a really HAPPY & COOL girl! On the trip there, it was more of chatting up with the "backseaters" and getting to know them all a bit better. Shortly, we arrived in 'Calebos Outfitters'. It was naturely beautiful, with stuffed animals placed in the center of attraction and model planes hanging around. They just look soo real. Took the opportunity to got to know our driver, Andre better! Oh and I saw REAL guns on sale, with bullets and all. How cool is that? How often do you get to pose with real guns!

After another drive or so ( I just lost track of time), we reached our motel, Super8 and checked in. Pretty impressed with the motel, considering its cheap prices $70/room for 4 but wonderful facilities! there was even a mini fridge and a microwave! really makes me wonder why I let myself be ill-treated in the school dorms=X Roomed with Anthea, Sharon & Grace, while Eunice, the only girl from NTU roomed with the guys (:
We then visited Jantzen beach supercenter, of which there wasn't much shopping to do. But i still bought myself a retro bag for 5bucks at a pushcart! There was a beautiful carousel where most of the guys took a ride on(: They looked like small happy little boys- CUTE!

Dinner was at 'Appethaizing thai', a thai restaurant we found with the help of andre's GPS. I had a bowl of drunken spicy noodle which was really SPICY. *hothothot! Dont be deceived by its tame looks! anyway, the ladyboss-Apple was really nice! she treated us to taro (yam)/ coconut icecream! The bunch of us then sizzled our way to Safeway on a terribly full stomach to get some drinks to play 'beer-pong' for the night. It's a game where you attempt to throw a ping pong ball into the opponents cup of beer. If you successfully did it, the opponent must drink up that beer cup! I teamed up with zelin and we WON against andre and anthea!(: However, we got complained like 5 times by the motel manager who threatened to chase us out on the last call! left with no choice, a few of them decided to come my room to play the modified blackjack as introduced by Andy. Everyone in the group gets a chance at picking a card that you can put into any of the 4piles on the table. In the event that you make up 21, the opponent after your turn must drink. At any one time, you can only keep 1 card on you. If you exceed 21 in any way, either by holding on, or adding to the deck, you DRINK! see how happy and drunk they all look!

Portland was more of a shopping trip and so we visited the premium outlets early next morning at 10am. SHOP SHOP SHOP until lunch! Some of us drove to lunch at Wendy's while the others continued shopping! Wendy's was GREAT (that's of course!) I had Bacon deluxe double meal! woots (: nice nice nice. The best burger I have eaten in US or farrr....
Back to shopping after lunch! OMG, you cant imagine the amount of shopping bags there were on the van at the end of the day! people were simply buried under bags! but nevertheless, HAPPY shopping! After another long long ride, we reached SPIFFY's restaurant. The food wasnt all that great and we felt that value of the meal wasnt really justified. But oh well, exploration was all that mattered (: By the time we reached back seattle, it was already past 12 midnight. Tired tired. went straight to bed without even unpacking my shopping treasures! HA! but on the trip, i bought a pair of running shoes, 4 pants, 2 blouses, 1 pair of white shoes, 2 pairs of adidas shorts for bro and dad which were really cheap! 2 bucks each? ahah (:
Wendy is really HAPPY that she went on this portland roadtrip with the NTU peeps! she really had an awesomely fantastic time!(:
